On our way to the library

Daniel, James, and I made an early trip to the gym today. We were out of the house by 9 AM - which is a small miracle these days. We decided to stop by the library on our way home to get some new books. On our way there we saw a large black lab. Here was our conversation after that:

me: Daniel- do you see that big black doggy?!
D: Yes mommy! I see doggy...mommy, I like doggies!
me: You like doggies...me too.
D: Yes, I like doggies and cheesus (Jesus).
me: (trying not to laugh) oh... doggies and Jesus?
D: Yes mommy- doggies and cheeesus (emphasis on the 'e').

I agree- those are two good things to like!

school

daniel had his lightneen mcqueen backpack on one day and informed me he was off to school.

d: mommy, i am going to school!
me: you are?! what are you taking with you to school?
d: my cars, snacks, and my swishy
me: anything else?
d: and james!
me: why are going to bring james?
d: because he is going to do the work!
me: ok- sounds like a good idea
